In 1981, Bob Moffit of Food for the Hungry reached out to Carl Key who at the time was working with Mansfield Christian School coordinating their 20th Anniversary. Bob shared with Carl the special project being planned for a community in Caballona, Dominican Republic. Carl coordinated a mission trip for students of Mansfield Christian School to assist in the development and construction of the Caballona project. Watch our documentary on this project and trip here.
From this first mission trip evolved Partners In Christ. Still active on the board of trustees for Partners in Christ, Carl has taken over 2,000 people and 200 groups to the Dominican Republic on short-term mission trips over the last 30 years.
Today we are celebrating over 30 years of service in the Dominican Republic. And it is because of servants of God like yourself, saying 'YES!', going out, funding, and praying for the communities we support through the decades.
